Can you pause an exam midway through taking it if you don't have time to take it?

I started taking the test, but then had to unexpectedly stop midway through. I couldnt find anyway to pause it. When I came back it said I failed. But when I looked I got all but one answer for the questions I had taken (14 of them). But now I have a failed attempt and have to watch videos again to retake it. Is there a way to pause the test -- or cancel it -- if you have to leave mid test?
