Data analyst/scientist entry level jobs

Hi everyone!

I hope you are all having a great learning or already had a great learning. I have also started my journey towards Data analytics/science.

One question has always been disturbing me so long. I wonder if anyone has already landed a data related job after the courses? Has anyone been able to complete some own portfolio projects? Are there people with totally different background that was successful to land a entry level data analytics/science job here?
I would highly appreciate the thoughts.
