Excel-Libreoffice Calc alternative for linux.

Hey 365 team!
Although I'm still working through the course material, I was checking the project description to be sure I'm prepared to tackle it.

Under requirements I noted Microsoft Excel and Data Analysis Toolpak. I use Ubuntu, so I wanted to ask if anyone from the team has experience on good linux-alternatives for these.

Actually, I've been using LibreOffice Calc for the course exercises and practice exams until now. It's been a bit painful, as it's very limited and a lot of the downloadable resources are not compatible.

I'd would really appreciate advice on alternatives, as I'm realizing that good spreadsheets software is going to be so important for the whole career track.
