What t-score do researchers believe to be sufficiently significant for a T-test?

Hi,
First of all I believe this quiz question is out of place, as we had not worked with T-Scores or T-Tests yet. Moreover, this rule of thumb is mentioned in the last lecture of the section, right before the practical example. Here's a picture of it:
I believe the reason for this is that usually when the T-Score is 2 or greater, the P-Value would end up being less than 0.05, which is often the "cut-off line" when evaluating P-Values. Here's the part in the section 3's course notes where it is shown:
