Calculated Field Year shows as Year(Count)

When I created a new calculated field, it shows as total count instead of listing Years, 2016 and 2017. I could not find how to change Year(count) to Year like you have.

Hi Mandeep,
Do you want to share a screenshot of your workbook, please?
Did you follow the exact same steps as we did in the video?
Best,
Ned

Hi, I encountered the same problem that Mandeep faced, whereby if we were to follow the steps in the video:
Analysis tab -> Create Calculated Field -> Type "Year" in first row, followed by typing LEFT([Period], 4) in the space below the first row ->  Click 'OK'

We would have the Year(Count) show up in the Tables tab rather than Year as shown in the video.

To mitigate this, we need to change the data type of the Period field to String first, before clicking on the analysis tab and creating the calculated field, as the data type of the Period field is set to default when first opening the sheet.
