Git , config, notepad

I met a problem when configuring the notepad as my editor, I create a file.txt with TOUCH , but when I try to open the file by NOTEPAD file.txt I got this error  """"/usr/bin/notepad: line 10: exec: notepad.exe: not found"""" Thanks for responding
