Resolved: how to understand column G last_inc_quantity?

Why sometimes column G doesn't match column E? For example, in rows 54 and 55, shouldn't G55 match E54?

Hello,

The idea is that the brand quantity designates the brand that was purchased in the last visit, while quantity shows how much of that product was purchased. So, the brand can be '2' which for example designated Prada, while the quantity can be 1 - so the customer bought one item of Prada. Hope that's clear now. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Best,

Ned

Hi Ned, thank you for the quick response! I understand that a customer may buy 1 unit of brand "2". I guess I'm confused about the relationship between "quantity" and "last_inc_quantity" in the Purchase Dataset. Shouldn't last_inc_quantity match the quantity of the prior incidence (the quantity of the row above a given row)? That's why I don't understand why G55 doesn't match E54.

I see your point. I think this was a mistake by the person who generated the dataset.
