Macros involving hyperlinks
Is it better to refrain from using macros in an instance where I would be using hyperlinks?
Hi the downside of using hyperlinks in your macros are multiple:
1) Security Concerns: Macros can pose security risks. Excel files with macros are often treated with caution as they can contain malicious code. This can be a significant issue if you need to share your Excel file with others who might not trust or be able to run macros.
2) Compatibility and Portability: Not all users have macros enabled due to security settings, and some might be using software that doesn't support Excel macros (like certain mobile apps or non-Microsoft spreadsheet programs).
3) Maintenance and Complexity: Macros require maintenance and can add complexity to your spreadsheet. If the macro is not well-documented, it might be difficult for someone else
