Multicollinearity
Hi,
I have a database which tow of its variables are virtual points (that student get from doing some gamified quizes) and grades, however doing these quizes are not mandatory but can lead to extra points for the grade. does it have anything to do with Multicollinearity? I guess this lecture confused me a little bit. I actually wanted to check if these quizes have any effect on student's grade. Can I use a regression?

Hello Ciara,
Multicollinearity occurs when two or more independent variables are highly correlated.
If the high correlation exists between independent and dependent variables, it is not multicollinearity. We want this correlation between X and Y to be as high as possible for regression model estimation.
