Hello, I have exactly the same issue. I followed exactly the instruction, Installed Homebrew and everything went well with the server step. When I try opening My SQL Workbench however I get the same error message as Kuldeep: “MySQLWorkbench” can’t be opened because Apple cannot check it for malicious software. This software needs to be updated. Contact the developer for more information. What can I do?   Thank you, Lisa

Actually, the solution is very easy. You just need to go to system preferences > Security and privacy and then give authorization to your computer to open MySQL Workbench :)
