While creating the pivot table, if I select the "Client Type" in Rows, then for the table "Volume by Client Type", the "GETPIVOTDATA" formula generates error (#REF). The formula functions only if the field "Client Type" is in the Columns under Pivot table. Why does it function that way? What is the rule for selecting the rows and columns while creating Pivot Tables?
