Roles in Power BI
Hi,
It was mentioned in the lecture about how roles can be used to restrict access to data. It was mentioned that we can provide login credentials to users in order to view the data. For e.g. view the data by logging in through the email, I wanted to know how this implementation actually happens in real life. Can you provide the instructions or a link to achieve the same..

Hi Asrith,
The implementation happens via Power BI service, which is a paid service. This is where you share your dashboards and collaborate with others. The idea is that you upload the dashboard inside the cloud where it can be accessed from anywhere and then whoever is the dashboard owner has the option to share the dashboard with individual users based on their email and also restrict the amount of data they can see based on their role in the organization.
