should we be precautious when talking about our works

In the data science interview you mentioned that we should be comfortable talking about our work. But you don’t think that if you worked with previous companies maybe you should talk about what you did for them with precautions because you worked with their data to solve their problems that companies maybe don’t want  that other companies hear about them.
