StarSchema & Snowflake Schema Difference!!

Can You Please explain in a nutshell what exactly is the difference between Star Schema and Snowflake Schema ?

Which one is used more often and Why ?

They are different data models, it all depends on the data source, some data sources are designed to be Star Schemas, others are made into Snowflake, the preferred one is Star Schema because we have one fact table filtered by all dimensions. In Snowflake there could be more fact tables or more dimensions that are related to another.
