We have developed the program in a specific and deliberate way for you to learn the different areas of Data Science in a logical and efficient manner. While you’re not required to adhere to our plan, we do recommend that you take a look at the roadmap that we’ve developed. As the program's creators, we believe this is the best way to get the most out of the materials without feeling overwhelmed or confused.
Our program roadmap is as follows:
1 – Starting at the beginning. This is the best place to begin your learning if you don’t have any mathematics or statistics background. As well as being introduced into the wider field of Data Science, you’ll learn the fundamental skills to go forward in the program and understand the principles of probability, statistics and linear algebra.
Each module has individual courses, complete with quizzes to test your knowledge and build your skills for subsequent learning.
2 – Programming for Data Science. The second group of lessons focuses on understanding and developing your programming skillset. As well as learning how to work within relational databases and SQL, you’ll learn about how to integrate SQL with Tableau to get the best of both worlds. From here, you’ll learn about programming with Python and how to manipulate and visualize data in the best way.
3 – Machine and deep learning. The third part of your journey to Data Science success will allow you to apply advanced statistical methods to do predictive analytics. By building linear and logistic regression models, you’ll then be able to progress and build deep learning modules, optimize your neural network experiments and fine-tune your solutions.
4 – Advanced specialization. The fourth and final module takes your knowledge and shows you how to apply it in various industry-specific ways. From credit risk modeling for the financial sector and customer analytics for e-commerce through to business analytics and beyond, you’ll soon be able to apply theory to practice.
