The Sum() function in Tableau
HI there,
Why do we have to use the sum() function in Tableau? Why canT we directly divide and obtain the gross per cent. BTW this is from the adding custom calculation lesson in Tableau.

Hi Nithin,
We use the sum function to indicate to Tableau that this is a range that needs to be summed. Otherwise, if we simply add the range without any operation in front of it, Tableau wouldn't know what to do with it.
