We have a mode! But Now what?
Ok, this was a super fun course and I loved this business case. However, I am not completely clear as to HOW do we use this model to make helpful predctictions. Let's say I wanted to take a new audiobook dataset and predict if a customer is likely to purchase in the next 6 months or no, so that I can use this information for marketing purposes. How can I do that?
Even i am begginer, and my guess the first step is to do a labelling, practically add a new column with 1/0 as values or True or false as values, and for each row we need to first capture the information whether the resp customer has done a purchase in last 6 month or not. I am talking about supervised learning here, first we need to give the machine the necessary sample data, (ie., the new column i said above), only then we can train it to make a prediction.
Hi Anita and Bala, I'd suggest Ken and Jeff's course on the Machine Learning Process because it willl allow you to understand many of the practical aspects one needs to build and deploy ml models in practice. Highly recommended!
