Pivot tables summarize data. They allow you to create a report very quickly. You can adjust the fields that you want to see in the table and can select what kind of information you want to see inside the table.We have provided a separate course, which shows you how to work with pivot tables in a bit more detail. If you take that course, you will learn how to combine pivot tables and slicers, which is a pretty powerful tool.
Some of the advantages of using pivot tables are:

- less likely to make a calculation mistake
