Why does the MySQL functioning look different on the MAC?

Hi Pratiksha! Thanks for reaching out! Can you please be more specific, perhaps supporting your question with a screenshot?  In general, because Windows and Mac are two different operating systems, it is normal for the interface to be different. However, in terms of functionality, particularly for the purposes of taking the course from our program, there shouldn't be any difference in functionality once you've managed to properly set up Workbench and the Server.
