Why time series technique is considered a predictive analytic not an analysis ?

Hello again, Victor!   Great to have you in the course and thanks for reaching out!   Exactly - it takes data from the past, but makes predictions about the future, because time-series is one of the greatest tools to forecast future values and plot them on a graph.   If you are using time-series data for the past only, then it would be considered analysis, but in practice you usually do that to make predictions, and it is namely the expected (future) values a researcher cares for. Hence the way we've categorized this technique.   Hope this helps. Best,
