Aastik leads the Software and AI Team for Smart Devices at a major European retailer. With a solid background in engineering and a master’s degree in mechatronics, Aastik has a strong passion for physics, mathematics, and first-principles thinking. Formerly a data scientist, Aastik has extensive experience using data science to solve problems in various fields, from building machine learning models for successful consumer IoT devices and guiding businesses through customer analytics to leveraging large language models to tackle complex tasks.
