We have based our course on Jupyter, so you will surely encounter some specifics that only relate to this piece of software. 
However, for this course, you should be fine with approaching all code executed in a different environment.
Please remember that there is coding in the browser available for doing exercises in this course as well. This can further complement your experience of taking this course.
