can't run a query right after the other
When I want to run a query right after the other, I have to first highlight the whole query completely and then run it, otherwise it won't be run. Should it be really like this, or I am making a mistake somewhere?

Yes, you have to mark the query you would like to run. If you do not mark any query, then all queries will be run and the result set will show the result of the last query.
