Customer analytics course's data set seems to have an attribute with incorrect values.

The Last_Inc_Quantity is supposed to show the number of items bought by the customer from the product category of interest during their previous store visit according to the Purchase Legend. But when incidence is 1 & say quantity of purchase was 5, the Last_Inc_Quantity (on the next entry) only shows 1 & not the real quantity! Am I missing something or is the attribute incorrect?

Hi Joseph, you're right, Last_Inc_Quantity doesn't show the exact quantity of items purchased on the last trip. Last_Inc_Quantity is a binary variable. Which means it only shows if the customer has bought something on the last trip. Not the exact quantity of items purchased. So, it's 0 if there were purchases made on the previous shopping trip, and 1 if there were. I think we discuss it in the course, but I believe it's towards the end, when we make the quantity model.
