Business Intelligence (BI) and Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) are two distinct areas in the realm of business analytics and data management, each serving a unique purpose and function within an organization:

Business Intelligence primarily deals with the collection, integration, analysis, and presentation of business information. The aim is to support better business decision-making.

EPM, on the other hand, is more focused on the management, planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting of business operations.

While Business Intelligence is about understanding and analyzing past performance and deriving insights from historical data, Enterprise Performance Management is about planning and forecasting future performance and aligning operations with strategic goals.
