Will the grades at a university be a categorical data if they were awarded based on A to F without any percent system?

Yep, and to be exact it should be ordinal data since it have an order to it. (Categorical -> 1. Nominal (Random Category no order) and 2. Ordinal (category with order))
So the grades at the university is categorical not numerical as said in the video.
