Import from SQL server

Hi! Should it be that after adding new rows in SQL query and importing them either through import mode or direct query in Power BI ID for those new records is again 1 though in SQL query they were counted from 1 to 3?

Hi, I am not sure I understand the question, at the end of the lesson both tables have got matching rows whether they are in import mode or direct query. Can you please provide more details?

Well, in the video after we refreshed data in both our tables (loaded through import mode and direct query) we have three records in both and all information is shown as it is in sql database except ID which equals to 1 for all records.

This is because Power BI is not showing the ID, it is doing a COUNT or SUM, when it detects a numeric value it applies an aggregation therefore if you change the calculation to Don't Apply Aggregation, you will see the correct IDs
