not getting how we mapped the segmentation model to a data that does not have data that was used to make that model

In Customer analytics course when we start the purchase analytics section we map the data given in which the data of customers purchasing chocolate bars were given and we mapped that data into a segmentation model which was modelled with data which included personal details of customers.  My question is how did we label customers as in the segmentation model when the data in purchase analytics was completely different than the data int he model.

Hi S bilal ali,
thanks for reaching out!
The segmentation data contains of 7 geodemographic features like age, income, etc.
The purchase data set contains those exact 7 features, as well. And we map our segmentation model on those features. It's just that the purchase data has other features as well, for instance related to purchase behaivour. You can check the purchase data legend file if you'd like and you can download it here: https://learn.365datascience.com/courses/customer-analytics-in-python/getting-to-know-the-purchase-dataset
Best,
Eli
