Not sure about the logic of alias

when we are doing the below 

df_ inputs_prepr=loan_data_inputs_train

df_targets_prepr=loan_data_targets_train

any changes in df_inputs_prepr will also reflect in loan_data_inputs_train

Then what is the use of doing the above ?
