Poisson's distribution when intervals change

If an event occurs λ times in a specific interval, how do we compute the event occurring n times in, for example, 1.5x or 2x times that interval ?

Hey Ali,    The expectations change proportionately. Thus, if the length of time increases 2 fold, so does the expected number of occurrences.    Best, 365 Vik
