Resolved: Question 1 - You have a z-score of 2.31. What is the p-value of this test?

I think we can solve this by checking z-table for 2.3 and 0.01 which is 0.98956. So we subtract this from 1 and get 0.01044 which multipy by 2 to get p-value = 0.02088. So why answer is 'not enough information'.

Hello Kartik!

Thanks for reaching out!

This is a tricky question. Yes, you know the z-value BUT you do not know if this is a left-tailed, right-tailed or two-tailed test. Once you know this, you can calculate the p-value.

By the way, you can use the p-value calculator that we have developed for calculating the p-value with great certainly.

Hope this answers you question!
