Question 2 - Population is not known
Population of all start-ups in the USA is not known. Similar to the lecturer's point about NYU students who would only be known if we were to consult the University. Start-ups are not only confined to Silicon Valley nor are they all registered with the authorities in the US, so I believe the true population is not known.
