Thank you for your question. If the p-value is greater than alpha, we indeed fail to reject the null hypothesis. However, remember that the null hypothesis says that the mean affinity of men and women is equal. This means that we can conclude that there is not statistically significant difference between the mean affinity of men and women - at least not at the significance level indicated.
