Student Completion Rates and Real World Preparedness

Hi 365 Data Science Team We are all aware that students begin these programs and may not finish for various reasons. What has be the general completion rates and job placement as result of this program. What were the median starting incomes by US region (e.g. North, South, East and West). This will help those of us who are still working through the program to manage/set our expectations. Thanks, Anderson

Hi Anderson, Thanks for reaching out! Unfortunately, we cannot really share stats on the success rate of our students as we cannot get a representative sample. Usually, our data is biased (we only hear from the successful students and never hear from the unsuccessful ones). Recently we have been trying to contact some of our successful students to create the so-called 'success stories' - one of the main ways to gather the information you are seeking. The overall theme so far is that often these people first learn more about data science through our trainings and then dig deeper into one or more of the topics using other tools. Finally, they all converge to the point at which they no longer use online courses, but rather documentation, scientific papers and of course... StackExchange and StackOverflow. For more information about the data scientist profession, you can read our research into the topic here: https://365datascience.com/data-scientist-profile-2019/ Best,
Iliya
