Resolved: Tags Count for Begin and End of Element

in Web Scraping and API Fundamentals in Python / Searching and navigating the HTML tree

I want to know if the tag name is counted in the beginning and the end of each html element or just the beginning ? (i.e. <a> ..... </a is counted as 2 or 1 ?)
