Use GENERATESERIES to build a table of measure
In the PowerBI course, you were using the function GENERATESERIES(1,1,1) to generate some data in your mesure table. Is this necessary or just a good practice? What is the purpose of that step?

It is one way to build it, you can also use the Enter data option from the Home ribbon and do the table using the Power BI interface.
