Resolved: Confusion with this Assignment
The Assignment given in this section is quite confusing as the assignment stated is different and the solution provided is different. I am not clear on what this assignment wants me to do. It's very messy and unclearly written.

I am sorry for the confusion created. It is true that this assignment is checking your knowledge on some topics covered in previous sections rather than focus on joins. Therefore, please ensure you have completed all sections prior to competing the exercise.
In a nutshell, the idea at this point in the course is to set up the database in a way that will suit us for the sections to come. Therefore, a few manipulations need to be to the state of some of its tables.
