Error Definition of Binary Text

Hello, when you explain Binary Text in lecture 1
And then in question 1 of Practice Exam:

there is an error.
because if the binary files could never contain EOL line terms, option 3 would also be correct.

And in the exam question there appears to be an inconsistency

Thanks in advance.

Hi Enrique!

Thanks for reaching out.

Regarding the first question, answer three is partially correct, as plain text files generally do not contain metadata. However, binary files can also include EOL characters, depending on the content. Therefore, option 4 is the only viable one.
Regarding the second question, answer 1, please make a distinction between a character and a symbol.

Nevertheless, thank you very much for pointing this out. We will improve the wording of the answers soon, I have already requested it.

Hope this helps.
Best,
Martin
