Is there any downside to standardizing the normal distribution? And is there any certain condition where it's better not to standardize the distribution?

Hi Melissa,
Note that we standardize data to make it comparable across variables/datasets.
The standard normal distribution is widely adopted in testing. We make tests by standardizing the data (so it becomes comparable).
Generally it depends on why you are standardizing the data. Sometimes it could be detrimental for your analysis.
