Recreate Path Question

Hi! I have a question about the option recreate path, i wasn't able to accomplish my deadlines because i was off for a few days and i want to be able to get XP again, i saw the recreate path option but im curious how it works, im on the data analyst learning path, and i completed intro, excel, statistics and im currintly doing the sql lesson but i think im gonna loose my progress if i do the recreate path, right?. Or will just give me new deadlines to start getting XP again?
