Resolved: Suitable Data Science role

Dear sir,
I have a background in mechanical engineering. Then I have done 1.5 years of job as a design engineer. After that, I have done a Diploma PG in Project Management. I have not received a job in campus college due to Covid last year. Additionally, I have lost both my parents last year. I had some interest in applied Statistics which was a subject in my PG so I took this course for Data Science. Now I am currently pursuing the Data Science career track. But I am a bit confused about whether should I go for a Data Science role or a Data Analyst role or a Business Analyst role according to my background. Also, I have fear of failure in this field. Please guide. Thanks.
Regards,
Shardul Dhage.

Hi Shardul,
thanks for reaching out and for sharing your story with us. I'm sorry to learn about the loss of your parents, my condolences.
I know that starting with Data Science can be difficult and knowing which the right path or position can be difficult at first.
If you have started the Data Scientist career track but you're finding it unsuitable, you can try the Data Analyst track instead and see which you like best. In earnest, there is no strict rule for choosing one or the other, and at the end of the day, you might end up completing both. I'd say that the Data Analyst track might be a good 'entry' into the Data Science track, the are somewhat related. The business analyst track is for you if you're interested in the business applications of data analysis or wish to understand more about what companies and businesses need in terms of data analysis.
Hope this helps and please don't hesitate to write if you have any further questions!

Best,
