Resolved: There exists a function associated to the Student's T distribution?

Good evening. We know what is the function associated to the normal distribution, but what is the formula associated to the Student's T distribution? And if it doesn't exist, why doesn't it? Thank you

Hey Alessandro,

Thank you for your question!

Indeed, there is a formula (a probability distribution function, PDF for short) associated with the Student's T-distribution. However, it is a bit more complex than the normal distribution one and that is probably the reason why the author of the course has decided not to include it. Nevertheless, you are very welcome to study the PDF and, as a result, understand the Student's T-distribution even better :)

Kind regards,

I have just found this one in the beautiful Wolfram's site: https://mathworld.wolfram.com/Studentst-Distribution.html
I was looking for the formula at this link, now I am satisfied. Thank you!
