what's Beta and how was it gotten?

How was the test power of 0.8 gotten ? 1 - B =0.8, what's Beta and how was it gotten? in 5:17

Checking online, i think it's a constant. I quote 

"To summarize:

α (alpha): The probability of a Type I error (false positive rate), usually set as the significance level (e.g., 0.05).
β (beta): The probability of a Type II error (false negative rate).
Power (1 - β): The probability of correctly detecting a true difference (1 - Type II error), often set at a desired level (e.g., 0.80 or 0.90)."

I think, normally we take β(beta) value as 20%  so 0.2 then 1-β=0.8.
