Actually the perpendicular is to the x axis, not to the regression line

Good morning. Just to clarify, when you say "if you draw a perpendicular from an observed point to the regression line", actually you meant a perpendicular from an observed point to the x axis. A line perpendicular to the regression line is a different thing. Thanks
