Didn't get the part of the digital Signal processing , speciall that the DSP deals with binary/digital data which is actually not numerical data. i'm lost here

DIgital signal processing deals with non numerical input data such as images, temperature, sound, etc. Then this data is transformed in a binary 0/1 format.
