I am not able to clear console in newly installed anaconda spyder
I tried Clear command to clear the console but it is giving error in new version of spyder. Is that changed now? I tried Ctrl L and it worked but not sure if it is the same..

Clear
*** NameError: name 'Clear' is not defined
%clear can be used to clear the new spyder console.

The Ctrl + L command would clear the console but you would still have the variables stored in the memory of the computer. If you want to remove the variable definitions as well, you would need to restart the kernel.

but why is this "Clear" command not working in new Spyder? it is giving the error as mentioned above. Do i need to add anything to make it work in new Spyder?

Referring to Spyder's documentation, it's possible that there might not be an equivalent command in the new version of Spyder. I myself am not aware of such a command.
