Resolved: Import Range function in Excel?

In Google Sheet I'm able to import external data with "importrange" function, which very useful for relational database and I use it in almost all of my spreadsheet in Google, how do I do this in Excel? This advanced course should have cover this.

Hi Nunno,
    Take a look at the Data \ Get Data options available within Excel.  Unsure if the 'importrange' of Google is the same as Excel 'From Table/Range' but as you can see there are many alternatives..... Hope this helps.

How is your external data organized? What is the relevant file extension, please? Are you referring to an *.sql type of file?

Hi Kev T.

Thanks for the help. However, I think formula based solution to get a table from external source is more practical and elegant because we can do combo with other functions.
