Resolved: Tableau import problem

So Tableau thinks in .csv file space is a separator and not a comma - is there a way to redefine this?

Hi Joanna,

thanks for reaching out! Tableau should be able to recognize the spaces in the column names correctly and not create new columns. Could you check the csv file first and see if the data is entered there correctly? If not, you may need to download the file again. Another thing you could try is to check the data interpretation box when you read your file and see if Tableau recognizes the data correctly.

Also, let me know which version of Tableau you're currently using, and I might be able to troubleshoot the problem more precisely, if the above options don't resolve the issue.

Best,
