Why do we need to aggregate the values?
I tried making a calculated field without SUM() for each and it produces the same result. Could you confirm if we really need to aggregate the values in the formula?

thanks for reaching out! If you're getting the same result it's possible that tableau automatically takes the sum() of the fields. To be on the safe side it's a good idea to write the sums explicitly.
