match & index vs vlookup

in Advanced Microsoft Excel / Advanced Excel Functions Index, Match, Match

I need to ask what is the difference between match & index and vlookup , do they have the same usage and functionality?

The main difference is that VLOOKUP() requires a static column reference, while INDEX+MATCH requires a dynamic column reference. You can explore that difference by watching the relevant lectures from our course:
